Recommendations for a pre-paid card for kids? (preferably with Apple Pay)

Does anyone have any recommendations for the above? I'd like to start giving my child pocket money, but on a pre-paid card, which he could use in store via his phone. Don't want to pay any subscription charges though, but would obviously want full control etc. Revolut seems to have what I need at first glance, but would appreciate any feedback/advice about that or any alternatives.
Many thanks!
Many thanks!

Mondo or Revolut was going to be my suggestion.
Personal experience with both is positive.1 -

Thanks! With Revolut, is there a minimum amount that has to be transferred to the card, and does it show up instantly?ObviousAlt9945 said:Mondo or Revolut was going to be my suggestion.

I have no experience with any of this. But am fairly certain Revolut CS gets a pasting on this board and the Bank Accounts board. If memory serves, Monzo's CS does not get the same level of complaints on these boards. You may want to do a search on these forums before taking the plunge.

I don't know how old your child is, but if they're secondary school age you might want to consider a kids bank acount with a debit card instead? My two have Nationwide FlexOne accounts and I'm happy with them. The two options (prepaid card vs. bank account) are compared here with recommendations given in each case:N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Kirk Hill Co-op member.Ofgem cap table, Ofgem cap explainer. Economy 7 cap explainer. Gas vs E7 vs peak elec heating costs, Best kettle!

This. Except my two have Santander 123 Minis that pay up to 3% interest. Pocket money goes in there via standing order, plus any other gifts they get (and part time job wages in the case of my 17 YO...)QrizB said:I don't know how old your child is, but if they're secondary school age you might want to consider a kids bank acount with a debit card instead? IMO, the earlier you can get them started with some experience of how 'real' bank accounts work, the better.
(by the way, is the inability for new users even to quote posts with links in a known bug...?)

New users (less than 10 posts) can't post links or edit posts, it's to stop spam, regardless of whether it's a link or a quote.MoJoeGo said:

You can avoid it by breaking up the link like h t t p or delete it from the quote, assuming the link is a useful one!1 -
Thanks... it's a minor point, I just prefer to quote people without having to edit their posts. At least 10 posts isn't a major hurdle to clear...0
