Will UK accept EUDCC (EU digital COVID certificate) for entry without isolation?

Hello everyone. I appreciate your crystal ball will be as murky as mine, but I am a UK national living and working in the EU (in a country currently graded amber by the UK) and appreciate any tips from people closer to home.
I will be fully vaccinated by 30 June 2021 and entitled to receive an EUDCC (EU Digital COVID certificate) from 1 July 2021.
Searching online, I cannot find any reference to whether or not Britain intends to accept the EUDCC for evidence of full vaccination for entry into the UK. Has anyone seen or heard any indication from the UK gov't about whether I might hope to return to the UK in or after July 2021, and whether it will exempt me from mandatory self-isolation?
Haven't seen family in 16 months and hoping I can make a short trip home in July, but a mandatory ten-day self-isolation (or five days with extra test-to-release) makes it prohibitively expensive.
Thanks everyone.

The Times reported that Health Secretary Matt Hancock is said to be keen to replace quarantine with daily testing, for those double vaccinated but that the policy will only be approved after Professor Chris Whitty, chief medical officer for England, is satisfied with the results of a study involving 40,000 people. This study will not be completed until later this summer.

Talk of those who are double vaxxed + 14 days, coming to the U.K. from amber countries not needing to isolate. I expect many European countries should turn green. Many have dropped below the historical 20 cases per 100K measure. Vaccination rates are soaring.
The UK has by far the highest infection rate of any European country. Wherever you are might not want you back.0 -
Yes there is a lot of talk about being double vaxed negating the need for quarantine. If they keep they same testing regime (3 or 4 private tests to fly home) suspect a lot of folk will still not be happy.0

Even when the general rule was 20 in 100K, exceptions were made for countries with low testing rates and those with poor health care facilities. South Africa and Bulgaria spent all of last summer off the holiday destination list even when they were reporting rates under 15 in 100K and Turkey got removed because they were fiddling their figures so the reported figures weren't comparable to those of European destinations.0 -
They need to make a decision on this soon! its rediculous-1

They won't accept your vaccination certificate and even if they do you will have to pay a hugely inflated price for a private PCR test at a "government approved" supplier (ie. a supplier that has paid a large fee to someone in the government).
The only way around this is to be a member of UEFA coming to visit the Euro 2020 matches for a nice jolly. If that's the case they might even throw in a prostitute or three as well but we can't promise that.1 -

Seems as money is the driving issue for opening up travel. No concern for public health.1
