Lloyds Gold Packaged account refund

So my parents have had a good packaged account since 2001, when they went to the bank to get a loan to get a new kitchen. They walked out the bank with a remortgage (another story) and a packaged account, which at the time they believe we’re told it was necessary for the remortgage. Come about 2010 and they had only just realised that the packaged account was charging them a monthly fee. 

Since having the account, they have used the AA breakdown cover though, although they would have bought it separately anyway. They haven’t used any of the other benefits. 

So I decided to lodge a claim on their behalf, through the resolver tool about 5 weeks ago. 

A pleasant phone call since and they have had £6500 claimed back to their bank account!
