Taff I did exactly that with my nephew I just messaged and asked if he wanted me to take him for a haircut and beard trim, Ive had no reply yet so I hope ive not offended him !

Morning everyone
Nice and sunny here and warmer than yesterday. Though to be honest yesterday was weird - literally went from chilly to hot in the space of 10 minutes mid afternoon.
Little one stayed last night and slept from 7 at night till 7.30 this morning. DD had to take her to hospital on Sunday night and was given different antibiotics, which really helped so she hasn't been coughing too much.
A man has been to do a yearly gas service this morning - little one wasn't impressed and we had to 'hide' in the living room. 'Is he going now? ' she kept saying loudly!
DD picked her up about 10 and I've had a tidy, made quiche and had a peaceful cuppa. I don't start work till lunchtime today.
Thanks to all who asked about my sore face - it's healing up well, but is still quite painful and quite difficult to eat. It hasn't been as bad as I expected though. Lots of questions yesterday about the bruise on my chin - told the children I'd bumped it...
Well I'd better go and get sorted.
Hope everyone has a good day
Gers it will be so lovely for you when you can sit in your garden again7 -
Good afternoon everyone
It's a little bit cooler today but i have been struggling a lot with the heat so I am grateful. I would love a proper downpour though to freshen everything up.
The district nurse came to see me today and was quite concerned about my leg. The wounds are just not healing and may even be a bit infected so I have to keep an eye on it. I am more than fed up with it all to say the least. I don't think the heat has helped though as my legs get very swollen.
My lovely husband is in charge of the kitchen today so I shall look forward to whatever he produces. I have a hankering for something simple like egg and chips so I will keep my fingers crossed.
My eldest daughter has an appointment tomorrow at the hospital for a camera test into her stomach as she suffers a lot with indigestion. After what happened with my sister we are all being a bit more proactive about our health. Steve is taking her in the morning as she has to be there at 7am.
Sorry for not keeping up with the thread, I try and read it every day but I am finding it hard as I have quite severe depression at the moment.
Hope you all have a great day (what's left of it!) and take care everyone xx7 -
Another day with lower temperatures than you would expect at this time of year. I have resorted to a shawl around my shoulders.
Made 2 Birthdays cards this morning.
Doing a roast dinner tonight - need it in this weather.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
