Car tax issue

Hi could someone give some advice I bought a car on the 29th of may with receipt and paid for 12months tax the same day with a credit card in my name. The log book finally arrived last week but the car dealer put the wrong date on saying the 15th of June I have now noticed my car tax status is now saying sorned, I have only just seen what will happen will I be able to get them to re tax it as the tax refund may of been sent to the last owner by now

Did you tax it using the New Keeper green slip's doc ref, or the one on the main V5C?

I was only given the new keeper green slip so used that to tax it online.

So if it was done correctly, you will have an email confirmation. Maybe you did something wrong?

Yes I still have the email confirming. No not me the car dealer told the dvla the wrong sale date so I am worried I’ll have to pay again.
