Window not staying open

A few of my house windows do not stay in there position when I open them. For example, when I open one, it slowly moves and closes itself. There is no resistance at all.
Should it be like this? I would of expected some resistance so the window can stay open. Is there anyway to fix this?

Any photo of the real window and the real hinges?Usually the hinges have two plastic horizontal sliders (top and bottom), each with a screw that controls the friction.1

There's no slider/stay on it, 330?If there is - surely there is - then it'll likely have a grub screw on it to adjust friction, often a plastic item.0

They're not really designed to stay opened in that position.
Just Google window holder - you could buy suction cups that allows you to attach it to the other window without drilling into the pvc.
Otherwise use a weighted object to sit on the window ledge that prevents the window from closing over.0 -
