Closed Again

In the main feedback thread I can see:
Guess what? It's closed YET AGAIN! It's obvious MSE don't really want proper, constructive feedback else they would leave the thread open. (The feedback form only allows 100 words per question response - not enough for proper feedback).
Hello all,
In response to your feedback about the font being too small, MSE Ben has fixed it so that the font is now larger. You'll need to refresh your browser (or even close and reopen it) to see the change.
If you're not seeing a difference or you've spotted any other issues, please let us know via the feedback form.
Your feedback is hugely valuable so please do keep it coming. We'll update you on other fixes as soon as we can.
Thank you,
MSE Laura F

Perfectly reasonable, but what they seem to have overlooked is that many other people work exactly the same hours.
A fair proportion of those 'other people' will not be able to post on a forum during working hours, and to find that during their leisure hours they cannot comment about a frustrating situation is in itself frustrating.
I really struggle to understand why MSE Forum Team cannot read comments that have been made (say) overnight when they return the next working day.
I suppose the cynic in me thinks they don't want 'us' to see the level of dissatisfaction from, dare I say 95% of the posts on here
I concur
Hiya.
I’m MSE Kirsty head of the Forum.
I’ve felt the need to write this post because there appears to be some confusion about the rationale behind some of our decisions so I thought I’d clear them up directly with you.
Jenni_D – you’ve written in excess of a dozen posts since the Forum changes last Wednesday and I can assure you that, despite the disparate nature of them, we’ve managed to find each one. Your feedback is being heard loud and clear. I can also assure you that I do want constructive and fair feedback about the Forum, which is why I have designed a system that enables you to provide it both when the team may and may not be there.
I’m asking the team to close the thread around 5pm each day because, after several years of running a forum, I have seen first-hand how quickly a discussion can disintegrate into abuse, trolling and toxicity. As our new rules state, we are doing all we can to mitigate the impact of this on both the community and the Forum Team itself. For those who are unable to give feedback during office hours, we have provided a feedback form and we’re increasing the word count to 500.
Contrary to what’s being said in this thread, I’m asking for all the feedback to be contained within one thread so that I can see all levels of satisfaction and dissatisfaction – not hide away from it.
In just 14 months, the purpose and need for the MSE Forum has never been greater. We’ve welcomed almost a quarter of a million new users to our Forum, many of whom have turned to us because of the pandemic. I’m sad to see that you believe the Forum isn’t a thriving place to be, but it’s simply not the reality. I’d also like to politely remind you that the MSE Forum is a free resource that we’re very passionate about, and it goes without saying, we deeply care about our users.
I’m going to close this thread now because we’ve asked many times for you to keep your feedback in this one place.
Thanks for reading,
MSE Kirsty
