Hi,
I’m looking for some advice please. I had a an NHS lease car and handed it back in at the end of March this year as I was leaving for a new job. I received a letter in April with a bill of £233 for going over mileage. Completely forgot about it and then at the weekend received a letter from ACT credit management ltd to recover the balance. I’ve paid it in full straight away, it had completely slipped by mind I would never ignore a debt. I want to know whether this will appear on my credit file? The lease car was never on it as it was a salary sacrifice scheme. But will the fact that I paid a debt collecting agency go on? I’m really scared as this could not of happened at a worse time! I’m about to make a mortgage application 😔
thanks

Only if they'd got a CCJ, as it's not a debt which was being reported to the CRAs.1
