I also just saw the word night safe on my account and started to research this. Then I remembered I'd paid a cheque into the Post Office to forward onto my bank for processing, so relieved to say, no scam.3

Always immediately report any unrecognised funds to your bank, or you could inadvertently become involved in money laundering.0

Hello, I've just noticed similar thing on my bank statement (March 2023), a deposit from "NIGHT SAFE" which I didn't recognise. After reading it could be of envelope deposits, I then remembered that after selling my vehicle in the UK, DVLA sent me a cheque with a partial refund for taxes I had paid that covered the vehicle until June. I couldn't manage to cash it out so I went to a PostOffice branch and they gave me an envelope so they could forward that to my bank to be processed. That was it!

A Post Office deposit won't show on your account as Night Safe though. It shows as Post Office.0
