PFP Energy bringing in debt collectors for seasonal variation.... anyone else?
I've been with PFP Energy around 8 months now and have found them great - no hassle signing up, good information during transfer, easy to use website, friendly contact with their customer services on the very few occasions I've needed it etc.
However, recently it seems they've passed on my personal information on to a company identifying themselves as 'Affinity' and who phoned and spoke with such an aggressive tone that it really threw me such that afterwards I was certain it was a scam call. After a rather protracted discussion about security verification checks (noting that they phoned me, unsolicited, and yet expected me to confirm personal information to them before they would do so to me!) they said they were phoning to 'check everything was okay' and that 'Id be hearing a lot more from them in future' which I found really rather menacing.
I've since spoken with PFP and it would appear Affinity is a debt management company, but that doesn't explain why I received this rather spooky phonecall. I'm not in debt with PFP (actually, I am - to the tune of less than £30 but PFP have confirmed that is just within normal boundaries given the fixed direct debit and variable seasonal usage, so they are not pursuing a debt here and not even wishing to adjust the direct debit rate). Either way I'd really rather not be receiving unsolicited calls from someone that sounds like the Mafia 'checking I am okay' and was wondering if others had received similar?
I'm a bit put out that my personal details have been passed to a 3rd party at all, although PFP are now saying Affinity aren't a 3rd party but are actually a part of PFP. Hmm...

Scare tactics in an attempt to ensure you don't go over the £30 owing. Horrible.0

write a letter of complaint to your supplier. Ensure that you state you wish to make a complaint.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
