Incorrect Entry on Equifax Credit File

There is a 'default' on my credit file for BT - it has my name and DoB but an correct address.  I am getting nowhere with both BT and Equifax in getting this removed.  I'm signed up to the Equifax pay monthly service, their website is worse than useless, I have constant log in issues which always leads to me having to call them.  Equifax tell me to contact BT and visa versa, I'm getting nowhere with this.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Do you mean an incorrect address? Do you have a service with BT and is it this service?

I don't have an account with BT and haven't done for about 15 years, the date of the default on my file is 2019. The address is not mine, I've lived at the same address for 26yrs, it's not even a close proximity to where I live. Thanks.
