Cost of structural engineer visit/consultation

My partner and I recently purchased a house and were considering whether to have a load-bearing wall removed. We therefore recently arranged for a structural engineer to visit so that we could talk through what our potential options would be.
The discussion/consultation lasted for 45 minutes, after which we advised that we would like to think about the options and he should therefore invoice us for the consultation alone. A few days later, we received an invoice for £150.
This seems quite expensive for what was a 45 minute conversation about how we might be able to remove a load bearing wall, and we have not received anything else that might justify this cost (e.g. a summary of what discussed and the options available).
Is this a fair price for us to be charged and, if not, what should we expect to pay for this type of service?
Thanks.

£150 for a professional to visit is fair enough I think. He had also to travel to you so that would be included in his fee.0

Yes, that is a fair rate. As above.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
