Karndean LVT Cost Discrepancies -- Lifetime Guarantee?

Options
Hello folks,

I've recently bought a new home which requires flooring renovation. We are looking at entry level Karndean LVTs (Knight Tile) but have noticed that some sites provide it a bit cheaper (22 pounds v/s 26 pounds). But the cheaper ones don't mention any lifetime guarantee. For e.g.

https://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/product/17682/karndean_knight_tile_grey_limed_oak_kp138_vinyl_flooring (26)

I would really appreciate if folks could please chime in with their experience when purchasing these LVTs? In practice how much does this lifetime guarantee help?

What do you usually prefer - getting your fitter to buy these LVTs for you or getting them online?

Thanks!

We bought our Amtico online and paid someone to fit.  Cost £5k instead of £8k.

You are paying over the odds for a brand name.
A good independent flooring company will be able to recommend an equivalent product a a better price.
A lifetime guarantee would not sway me one way or the other.
There will probably be an awful lot of small print involved centered around the word 'lifetime'.

That's interesting. If you don't mind answering -- what does 5K and 8K denote here? The total cost of LVT + fitting? So buying the LVT + getting it fit by someone else = 5K whereas 8K for asking Amtico fitters to fit and buy for you?

Fair enough. I had a chat with the flooring guy and he usually does Polyfor but did recommend Karndean as a premium brand.

    Yes.

I had Polyflor in our last house for about 5 years and it's perfectly good.  I used Amtico this time because they were the only ones that had the style and colour I specifically wanted.
