Cladding for outdoor storage bench

Hello,
We have just built 2 frames for an outdoor storage bench. Inside the frames will be the plastic keter storage benches.
Could someone advise an affordable wood to use as cladding that isn’t pallet wood? The seat top will be made with marine ply.
I’ve been looking at a few options but I’m getting a bit overwhelmed by the choice. I’m finding it hard to tell what would be suitable.
this is similar in shape to our bench and it will sit on decking.
