New Roof

Hiya
I'm in the process of planning a new roof. House currently has old clay tiles that cant be re-used so I've opted for concrete. What do I need to consider as I know the weight is going to be different. Does Building control need to get involved to sign off the strength of the joists?
Many thanks for ay advice

Yes, BC do need to be involved. You need to get a structural surveyor to tell you if the existing roof beams are strong enough for the heavier tiles.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1
