Win!! Party into 2008 with Scottish & Newcastle UK
Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations are world-renowned with thousands of people taking to the city streets to welcome in the New Year in true festive style as they toast 2008 while enjoying the best in entertainment. As the official drinks supplier to Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party and the name behind famous drinks brands such as Foster’s, John Smith’s, Kronenbourg and Strongbow, Scottish & Newcastle UK will be on hand to ensure party-goers have a night to remember – and you could be there to join the celebrations !
In addition to the fabulous sights and sounds of the Street Party, this year’s line-up includes the Ceilidh in the Gardens and the Concert in the Gardens, which this year sees Kasabian, Idlewild and Calvin Harris taking centre stage. In addition to the main stage, there will be another three stages within the arena featuring other live acts from 10pm including famous pipe and drum group the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and a DJ set from Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook. For the Ceilidh in the Gardens, Latin-Celtic fusion group Salsa Celtica and dance band The Occasionals are in the line up to keep people entertained throughout the night.

With the entertainment line up this year, it’s no surprise that these are the hottest tickets in town as eager revellers clamour for a place at the most famous street party in the world.
The Edinburgh Times has teamed up with the official drinks supplier Scottish & Newcastle UK to give 3 lucky readers the chance to win a pair of Street Party passes plus a Street Party Pack which includes an Edinburgh’s Hogmanay saltire hat, branded lip balm, a branded rain poncho, a branded lanyard with information cards and another Street Party pass.
For your chance to win, simply answer the following question: On which street in Edinburgh are the main Hogmanay celebrations held?
ANSWER: Princes Street :T (I THINK!! - I GOOGLED IT!)
