Hi, does anyone know if there are any charities (or other organisations) that you know of who would be interested in about 100 wooden chairs no longer needed at a church? I assume not but asking just in case.

You could ask whichever is your larger local furniture charity shop.  Or there are architectural salvage places which specialise in church furniture and you could donate the proceeds if you choose.

It might be worth using NextDoor, Facebook and Gumtree to get rid of them in smaller batches. There are a few cafes round here who have mismatched chairs, some of which have clearly come from churches.

If all else fails you could advertise them on freegle or freecycle and split them if necessary? Some charities scour freegle and freecycle sites for items such as chairs. I'm always amazed at some of the things that are snapped up on the recycling sites. But chairs aren't all that unusual. . . I hope someone will want them, it seems a shame if they have to be dumped.

Just this week I donated 75 wooden stacking chairs to an art centre in Scarborough East Yorkshire. They may be interested depending on your location.
