Avro Energy customer service spiralling downhill

What on earth is happening at Avro Energy? I just cannot get in touch with them.

My fixed contract expires early next month, but when I log in to my account, there is no mention of an extension quote. If I go to their website without logging-in, there is an option to obtain a quote. Entering my address identifies me as an existing customer, so I am invited to log-in. This produces a quotation for a new 1 year fix, but when I try to accept the quote, I am shown to a page which says it has not been possible to process the renewal, and I should phone or email them.

So, I phone, but am met with an announcement that they are only taking phone calls regarding genuine emergencies. So I email them, and receive an autoanswer advising that they are taking weeks to attend to email correspondence, so I should phone them! It's a vicious circle!

This has been going on for over a week now, so I am tempted to take my business elsewhere. They appear to be using the pandemic as an excuse for wretched customer service.

    Plenty of threads here documenting the non existent Avro customer services. 

    I'd go elsewhere if I was you!
  • Seconded, initiate a switch and follow it through. That might grab their attention if only with an automated "sorry you are leaving" e-mail!
