Take an afternoon stroll round Arthur's Seat on Tuesday 1 January 2008 and you'll catch an event that has been a feature of every Edinburgh's Hogmanay programme since 1993 - the Edinburgh Bicycle New Year's Day Triathlon. Click here for more info.
However, don't worry! We're not asking you to compete in this swim/bike/run because you can't... All 400 places were snapped up in the first 2 weeks of October!
But you can of course, turn up and enjoy a spectacle that features complete beginners having a go against Olympic standard triathletes against the fine backdrop of Edinburgh's fantastic cityscape. It's free to spectate and even if you are feeling a wee bit delicate on the day, the fresh air will almost certainly make you feel better. To help ensure a pure oxygen high, Holyrood Park will also be car free for the day, which is as it should be when you consider our sponsor's slogan...
