Rip off solicitors

Does anyone know if I can charge a solicitor for my wasted time spent chasing them. I am sometimes going weeks and weeks without any progress for a simple probate case. It’s been over seven months now and probate still not even applied for. There was a will in place and the value of the house doesn’t even break the threshold for inheritance tax. They’ve quite simply let us down. They also appear to be a paralegal firm sub division of a bigger legal firm so the name doesn’t even appear to be registered with the solicitors regulation authority. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍

You should have got a copy of their complaints procedure when you opened the case - you can make a complaint .
You won't get to charge for your time but you may get an apology and a reduction on the bill. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
Are they the executors, or just appointed by the executors to do the work?0

How did you come to use them?
