    Did you tell the company you wanted the same windows as before?
     
    Why would the surveyor know you wanted the same windows or tell you they were not available. He was there to measure for new windows.

    If the windows are discontinued you cannot get the same  so what do you propose to do?

    Buy the ones that are available or don't buy any? Nobody else will be able to supply identical windows.

    it depends what was in the contract - there certainly is a contract even though nothing was signed. Oral contracts are just as valid.

    did the contract explicitly specify exact match to front windows? did you specify this and did the supplier understand and agree to this condition ?
