Rotted soffit board question

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. A piece of wooden soffit board dropped down to the floor - about 2ft wide. I can see the gap where it's come from. I live in a high-ceilinged old Edwardian terrace and the soffits/facias look to be made of wood that has seen better days. Is this an urgent issue? I don't have a great deal of money (single parent) so just reaching out to find out how urgent this might be and the potential cost. Also could it be repaired or would I need to have the whole lot replaced? Thanks.
