Bristol Energy/Together Energy
I was with Bristol Energy which I thought would be an honest reliable company as connected with Bristol City Council. But they decided to sell to Together Energy. Now Bristol Energy are not refunding my credit balance. I have asked at least 10 times. I phoned, and I eventually spoke to a human being but she said she was just an "answering service". It seems there is some game playing here no doubt hoping the customer will give up.
I think we need a change of rules that make the CEO's of these companies personally responsible for refunding credit balances if their companies continually refuse to give customers their money back.

Bad luck ! Together Energy are just about the worst supplier out there ,certainly the worst I ever had the misfortune to (try to) deal with !! There is a group of dissatisfied customers of T.E on Facebook who may be able to offer advice.0

can i take bristol energy to court for breach of contract ?0 -
Bristol Energy is a trading name of Together Energy so any legal action would have to be directed at it or against individual Directors. Together Energy will now be in the process of appointing an Administrator to close down the business. However, before you even consider whether it is worth your time and the cost of starting legal action, I suggest that you get advice from a qualified professional.terry_and_sue said:i though i was alright even got an email atached to my bills assuring me the company will not be going bust well i now know diffrent .

I have yet to see any energy supplier contract that didn't allow for termination of contract if the supplier lost their supply licence, so there is no breach when termination occurs in these circumstances.terry_and_sue said:

I never heard from 2 previous suppliers when they went bust. They tend to put a notice up on the website and little else. Sometimes you may get an email from the administrators after a couple of weeks. To put it bluntly they've gone bust, the Administrators are now running the show and communicating with customers isn't an immediate priority.terry_and_sue said:i though i was alright even got an email atached to my bills assuring me the company will not be going bust well i now know diffrent .

It is a good idea to note down your meter readings if you haven't already, take a photo if you havea device that enables you to. Give Bristol Energy a reading, and British Gas too when they ask.
All is not lost with British Gas. just because you don't have a smart phone. The messages from them are communication that they are now your supplier. The link is to a website which can be accessed on any device, not just a smartphone. Link is here: Together Energy – Bristol Energy – British Gas1
