EasyJet reneging on Flight Protection Promise!

I'm afraid I agree with the others - you are not entitled to a refund under their scheme

To quote the wording above:
 The specific wording of "If your trip is impacted by a lockdown travel ban or mandatory hotel quarantine this summer, you can transfer your flight for free to a later date, anytime up to 2 hours before departure, or opt for a voucher or refund, even if your flight is still operating"

The mandatory hotel quarantine is the key to it.   It's their policy and they can impose the restrictions they wish. It's all in the wording. As you are not being mandated to stay in an appointed hotel (as overseas Red List arrivals are in the UK) they are correct in their stance

Forgive me for being flippant but the actual wording of these things is important. Many years ago there as a washing powder who claimed 'no-one washes whiter' The suggestion was that they washed the whitest. They didn't what they were actually saying was 'we wash the same as everyone else' but on initial reading of the claim most people thought they did.  Ithink that's what Easyjet are hoping for with this 'guarantee'

Thanks for getting back to us.

I don't necessarily agree that it's morally right, but on another side do, as it keeps flight prices very low in general for everyone and keeps connectivity alive.

It serves an important reminder to read the exact wording in any event of terms and conditions.
