Leasehold Management Pack Taking Forever

I’m currently purchasing a leasehold apartment. No chain. It’s taken about 13 weeks so far so I can imagine that’s not bad going. However I've been waiting for the management pack to get sorted for around 7 weeks of that. As of today my solicitor has received the pack (she’s been too busy to look at it today) and she says there will most likely be more enquiries on the back of the pack. What will the further enquiries be? Any ideas how long (in experience) this final part takes to complete?

Enquiries may be around management and service charges, any future outstanding work, clauses in the lease, length of lease and potential cost of extending, fire safety assessment standards, communal facilities. There's a pretty long potential list. Or, all could be in order and there's not many.

In a way, the more your solicitor asks the better, as it shows they're reviewing things and being diligent, although it's ultimately your call what you're happy to accept and what you're not.
  • My solicitor received the pack mid May, and raised 17 enquiries, 6 of which are still outstanding. I guess it depends on how thorough your solicitor is really.
