Had our fight cancelled again
this was booked using a voucher we got as last year’s flight was cancelled
received an email telling us that we could apply for a voucher or money back online
When we tried to get a refund was told as we took a voucher previously we we not entitled to a refund but only another voucher just want to know if this is correct
Any help greatly appreciated

'refund' would be by the original forma of payment, if you paid for the flight with a voucher, they will refund in a voucher.
(if your first flight was cancelled you could have had a refund at that point to the original form of payment)0 -
I believe that the air passenger regulations require airlines to refund in cash when cancelling flights (even if the payment was by voucher), unless the customer agrees to accept a voucher instead, although they usually assert that they have to refund to the original method of payment:1

So do they or don't they? I have a very similar issue for a cancelled flight in that I originally (foolishly with hindsight) accepted a voucher, but not now likely to be able to book anything before it expires. The airline refuses refund to the original method of payment, ie. debit card.0

You will have given up your right to a cash refund if you accepted a voucher.Have you contacted them to see if they will extend it?0

Good point. I am in the process of that and will report result.0

Update for anyone interested. Finnair have finally refunded the cash after repeatedly telling me this was not possible. Persistence is everything!1
