Yes, I should have said that mine started with a sore tongue, round the edge first, and over time to all of it. As I say, these are normally intolerances, or increasing sensitivities, and not allergies. Interestingly, shop bought bread containing "flour improvers" and other additives, gives me the sort of symptoms many attribute to gluten intolerance. And not sure what sort of oats you have but less milled and processed ones that make your gut work harder to process them are good!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

That’s also good to know about oats. I didn’t realise. We switched back to tesco oats as it was cheaper but much prefered the local company we used before that. I’m waiting for a few days of normal with him before reintroducing oats, but will do that first as I depend on it quite alot.Ill think more on what you said though about sugar, as whilst recently I’ve been cutting stuff out, I’ve noticed more things with other foods so biscuits have been making my mouth sore (oaties from Tesco to be exact), and it’s not settled at all since.
Spends today on a wall planner to mark annual leave etc on as when we’re both back working, it’s going to be quite complicated during the school holidays. Plus the top up to make up the difference from Tesco vouchers for a years subscription to gardeners world magazine. We were going to go to the pub once hub finishes work today, as yesterday marked the day we’ve been together for 10 years but my daughter was sent home from nursery feeling under the weather so unlikely we will go. We are already out Sunday for a cocktail to celebrate the occasion so maybe that will have to do. Before we were married, on the 2nd of each month we would go out for a cocktail to celebrate so it’ll be quite nice to do that again this weekend.I’d love a take away but with cutting so much out it’s just easier not to bother!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

So we didn’t make it to the pub on account of my daughter being diagnosed with tonsillitis 😭 she was pretty off yesterday but today, with the exception of the allergic reaction she’s has to the antibiotics, you’d not know she was even poorly! We’ve had quite a lazy day today and I’ve painted the downstairs bathroom White ready for new colour. The units have been delivered so really must get a wriggle on. I did the filling last week during a quick hour I had free whilst hub took the children out so started by sanding that today before the paint of course. My daughter wanted to paint too so since it’s only white I have her a little brush and she did some painting too.
I believe it’s important to involve children in these types of tasks and teach them rather than tell her it’s not something she can participate in. She ‘helps’ with most of the jobs at home, emptying the dishwasher, sorting the washing, cleaning the sides. Half of the time it does make for more work but at just over 2 and a half I can’t expect too much other than just overall willingness. No money spent today but none made either. Prolific seems to be a bit quiet at the moment and that’s all I’ve really for time for at the moment. That said I should chase up my vouchers for the consumer research thing I did recently! And list that hat on Vinted. All of the appliances have been on this week which hasn’t been great for the electricity usage but equally I’ve once again been low on sleep so finding a balance.Allergy appointment came through this morning for my boy so that’s in just under a fortnight which is just brilliant. The appointment can’t come quick enough.I’m currently dairy, soya, egg, beef and oat free and as a result finding it very difficult. I weighed myself this morning as I felt very slim for me and lo and behold I’m lighter than I’ve ever been as an adult! I’ve been tracking my weight and how I feel for the last 6 months and have always been relatively aware of when my weight moves so knew that it was going to be low but not quite that low.So if anyone reading wants to throw over any recipes for foods which are dairy,, egg, soya and oat free that I can grab on the go id be grateful. Hoping they test us for all of those things too, oats being a big one as I consume about 600 calories a day usually from oat and oat milk 😳Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Well done on an amazing achievement of managing so well during your maternity leave.I also had a great experience with a homeopath when my daughter was about 8 and started suffering with psoriasis. I was a sceptic but the condition improved in exactly the way the homeopath described it. None of the horrific coal tar treatments had worked and she was due to be admitted to hospital for 6 weeks of light therapy so trying a homeopath was a "what harm could it do?" option.4

Lots of grilled chicken and simple steamed veg here. Plain boiled potatoes, carrots and finely shredded cabbage and it is a revelation, how tasty simple, plain food is with just oil, salt and pepper seasoningSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

@Suffolk_lass we LOVE cabbage here just with ‘butter’ and s&p, I rarely get sick of it and everyone I know that we cook it for always wants to know what we did! Thanks @b@Blackcats again I think I’d be happy to visit one for myself but for my son, im a little more apprehensive. He’s too little still if I get it wrong.Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Well we did indeed get a take away last night but we only ordered breads and poppadoms to have an alongside a lamb keema. I missed the yogurt through the keema but it was very tasty. The bought in bits are from another budget so no grocery spends.Swimming for the children today, with a treat for lunch which comes from their pot and a beer for hub and I to celebrate 10 years together which was cut short my by boy having a bit of a meltdown after his nap.The only tasks I can say I’ve done thatve been frugal or money saving have been using up food that’s already in. We plan on getting the oven on tomorrow as I’ve got a sourdough to bake for the week so meal planned and worked out how I can fill the oven. Pepped swede tonight for vegan Mac and cheese Tuesday, weetabix breakfast muffins and banana muffins, plus the bread will all go in the oven tomorrow. The oven was full today with a loaf and a 2kg pork shoulder joint (which was delicious and has been portioned up) but otherwise I haven’t achieved much else MS. It’s a bit too cold to get washing line dried and getting colder too!I’ve been suffering for about a fortnight (mostly at night) with a sore throat but during the day it’s not there. Very strange. If if not disappeared before this week is through I’ll have to ask for some advice at the local GP as it’s not been getting better.Plans for this week are a bit more routine, get to the gym and try and stay on top of stuff a little more! Oh and not to food shop!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I always wake up with a sore throat and have always put it down to opening my mouth and breathing through my mouth while asleep, and a resulting accumulation of mucus. I am allergic to dust and cats (we have a 13 year old cat) so I think these cause a mild reaction making the mucus the cause of the soreness. I always keep an insulated beaker of cold water by my bed for if/when I wake in the night, and a box of tissues so some discreet spitting of the mucus, then a drink, clears it. (Sorry!)
The point is that the soreness could be a direct result of the intolerance or allergies you are experiencing, and the removal of the potential triggers from your diet might mean environmental triggers have replaced them, resulting in this reaction. Or it could be an infection.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
