Popping on to follow your thread! Do post if you can, I find it helps so much when I post regularly anyway 🙂
Congrats on baby #2. You’ll likely find you don’t need much this time round and find yourself laughing at all you bought for your eldest.I often think if I ever have a third, it’ll cost very, very little (even though I’ve got rid of my baby stuff) because I’ll need nothing but a stretchy sling, some nappies & wipes, sleepsuits, my boobs and a car seat 😆 I would save my cash on “stuff” and spend it wisely getting a cleaner and healthy food delivered!!
Best of luck, it’s a really exciting time.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Well back here even if just to date on life which I probably would have hugely benefited from if I’d have done it last week!Bit of a stumbling block including tears last week where I hit a brick wall from doing too much, so over the weekend did much less. I realised that if I do it it’s not there to be done by anyone else! Very simple I know but I just stopped doing and some how, most stuff was still done!Kitchen was due to be delayed but isn’t anymore, just on the part now where I need to buy all new appliances which is costly!Mortgage offer due tomorrow with slightly less than we asked for but only because the house is in mid renovations! We also didn’t want to move to a higher interest rate product so reduced the loan amount instead and will manage. Although saying that, weirdly everything seems to be out of stock?!Anyway. That’s made me feel better and I’ve budgeted for Feb now using new mortgage rate (although will still probably be on the old one until the new deeds are written!) and realised that I’ve double counted the loan overpayment. That’s put us back at break even and is allowing for the required amount to be squirrelled away for when my maternity pay drops to stat.We will save another £11 on sky bill when my husband gets round to calling them and my phone bill is now paid off and done with (just the sim to pay for) so hoping that will give the maternity cover fund a teeny bit extra. If we didn’t need that, instead it would certainly be used for a couple of months to have the luxuries than the remortgage can’t afford before then being overpaid against the loan. How magnificent it would be to over pay more than my actual loan payment is. It would be cleared (I think!) in approx 18 months time! That would be lovely but isn’t the case. That said, maybe being tighter than the baby is here (rather than trying to continue living as we do) might be good for the motivation to clear the loan even faster! A bit of a spendier day today than expected but all from my own purse rather than anything joint.Took my daughter to town as i had a neals yard moisturiser to return and tried to plan it around her nap. This did not work at all, 15 minutes of sleep and then the usual getting her into the pram from the car seat failed and she was awake until just now. That said, she did want to walk by herself along the river and I managed to take a lovely photo of her under a famous bit of architecture in the town we live in so memories were made. That said, I purchased her a pouch for lunch and got myself a sandwich from boots to eat prior to taking her to the local coffee shop where she could eat it nicely whilst I had a coffee. Still just over £10 for the lot which had We have gone to baby group then lunch it’d have been more.Missed a call from an appliance supplier who is willing to price match somewhere else as my daughter was moments away from being asleep however mortgage offer isn’t through yet so there is no rush.Fajitas with all the best bits for dinner tonight and no spends other than milk required (hopefully) over the weekend.Trying to get my head around YNAB but always been a forward planner and it doesn’t seem to work that way! I’ll persevere!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I think I was getting mixed up as I use Monzo for the ability to have pots so just need to replicate it in YNAB I think, that way my husband can still see what each budget isFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Keep us posted with the YNAB-ing. I never got the hang of it the first time myself
Hope you get enough distraction from everything that is going on. For someone who has a lot on their plates, you're doing well mighty fine staying on track. And congratulations on baby # 2! Take it easy.2 -
I never got the hang of YNAB but I enjoy their regular emails and find them motivating. I did eek my way to getting a month ahead with my main bills though and I'm now trying to fill up a one month pot. Whilst I do have an emergency fund I wanted a one month pot which just sits alongside my current account.
congrats on the new baby

I’m definitely not 100 sure what all that means but hoping when I get paid Tuesday it’ll make more sense! Thanks @anjyeah we earn good salary’s and do budget well, I just wish that we could put all the ‘spare’ money to getting the debt down quicker but it’s not really free, if we want to live like we do…it’s a hard balance isn’t it!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Happy Saturday. An early start for me with the little today but it meant that we could wake my hub up a little while later and head out for an adventure. NT woods this morning, all free of charge except parking which I don’t begrudge paying as the place is kept in tip top shape. It’s almost 40 minutes to drive there but a good hour and a half walk and a lovely lake for the dog.Little was happy being outdoors too and whilst she slept on the way back, we drove slowly eating our packed lunches and drinking our flask of coffee in blissful P&Q.£3,50 spent on parking but otherwise a free and mostly enjoyable morning out. No other money spent.Weekend Meal plan stuck to which is something which never happens at a weekend and felt quite proud of my hub and I for doing that today.Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay
