DRP letter received but no PCN

Hi everyone, Sorry to post yet another question regarding Debt Recovery on non payment of parking fines but I am a little confused by other posts. The situation is that I have received a letter today from DRP demanding payment of £170 for non payment of a parking charge which has increased from £60 because I have not responded, but I have not received any letters regarding this from the Initial Parking Limited to respond to. The car park is private. What do I do? I have no details other than the date of the parking charge - 4th May and PCN No. I am facing potential court action and a fee of £235 if I am unsuccessful in Court. I would be grateful for any help, thank you so much.

Well, it's only DRP adding fakes as usual.
DRP are full of verbal diarrhea with wild threats they cannot action ...... Just ignore DRP, NO CONTACT, NO PHONING THEM.
In the meantime, send a SAR to the PPC for the information they hold on you

It is unlawful anyway, read this. and complain to your MP>Excel v Wilkinson
At the Bradford County Court, District Judge Claire Jackson (now HHJ Jackson, a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge) decided to hear a 'test case' a few months ago, where £60 had been added to a parking charge despite Judges up and down the country repeatedly disallowing that sum and warning parking firms not to waste court time with such spurious claims. That case was Excel v Wilkinson: G4QZ465V, heard in July 2020 and leave to appeal was refused and that route was not pursued. The Judge concluded that such claims are proceedings with 'an improper collateral purpose'. This Judge - and others who have since copied her words and struck dozens of cases out in late 2020 and into 2021 - went into significant detail and concluded that parking operators (such as this Claimant) are seeking to circumvent CPR 27.14 as well as breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015. DJ Hickinbottom has recently struck more cases out in that court area, stating: ''I find that striking out this claim is the only appropriate manner in which the disapproval of the court can be shown''.

Send an SAR to the PPC as per the advice in the NEWBIES. This will flush out the original NTKs which in turn will tell you where they were sent. Include proof of ID, but never send photo ID.
The usual reason why the original PCN has not been received is because the motorist's details on their V5C are incorrect, possible because the keeper moved home after the alleged event.
Check your V5C to ensure the details are correct. Don't guess, go and look.

People who get DRP letters are NOT facing potential court action...see the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
