I've been a bit negative about ebay recently but I thought I should mention that there has been one change I am really happy about. I love the 'Time Away' feature and having started taking a few UK short breaks have been using it quite frequently .
Firstly I think it is less confusing than the old holiday settings where people didn't realise they had to tick a box to stop things being sold, this setting is now obvious- put your time away on and then it asks whether you want to allow sales or stop them completely - no confusion at all. It is also available on all accounts, not just shops - and this was another factor in me deciding to close my shop as previously I had made a lot of use of the holiday setting and didn't want the hassle of cancelling all my business listings and then re instating them later and having to repay.
I mistakenly left one auction ending during my last holiday, have no idea how I did that! Auction ended and buyer paid and the system recognised I was away and instead of my usual 2 day despatch it allowed the extra days covered by my time away settings, I didn't even realise it did that!
