Fox cubs

Not sure if it's just me, but is anyone else noticing a lot of dead fox cubs on the gutter at the moment? I've never seen anything like it. At first I thought they were kids toys that were flung out of the windows of passing cars.
They're  everywhere.

These types of animals were becoming less scared during lockdown, getting far braver over roads and coming into built up areas that were much quieter.
Our house cam caught families of dear and foxes walking down our street, something we'd not seen in 16 years of living there.
I fear they're getting caught out now that traffic is back to normal.

I guess the lower traffic levels of lockdown may have reduced their levels of fear?
PS. I haven't seen tufty (of the road safety campaigns) for some years.  Maybe he didn't heed his own advice?  Maybe he's retired and enjoying some 'me' time.    Maybe he's lying in a verge somewhere?

Tufty was a squirrel, not a fox, surely? And thus will be stealing from someone's bird-feeder as I write!

There's a family of foxes near us that will sit together in the middle of the junction in front of our house.  If a car comes along they move to the curb and then back to the middle of the junction once it has passed.  Sensible but absolutely little fear.

    A red squirrel, not a grey bushy-tail-tree-rat.

No fox cubs but I did see a flatulent old goat in the gutter yesterday.

    Any relation?
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".
