Lost IHT400 Forms

I’m so annoyed. About 5 weeks ago, I sent the IHT400 form along with the various supporting forms to HMRC. I called today for an update only to find they have no record of the forms. I know they received them as i sent them Recorded Delivery and EDM signed for them.
I’ve been told to wait 5 days to let them search. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any hope of them finding the forms? 

Unfortunately, I didn’t take a copy, so I’d need to start it all again 😢.

This is what I have had to enquire at my solicitors about. We have had no acknowledgement from HMRC and are now 5 months into it and hoping it was sent to the solicitor.

Did they find it?

Also, just thought i'd add - having spoken to them today, they are apparently prioritiising them.

This has just happened to me, I waited 5 weeks and they have no record of receiving the forms. Called today (5 days later) and there is still no sign, so I will have to spend this weekend completing eveything again and re-sending next week.

Very frustrating, I've suffered incompetence all the way since my father passed, including no Dr's or nurses telling his GP and others of his passing and me having to chase the coroner and GP myself when nothing had happened after 2 weeks. As if it hasn't been a stressful and upsetting time as it is.
