    Morning all :)
I am feeling much better this mornng thank you Ziggy :)
Just back from a decent dog walk. It isn't supposed to rain today (though it does look suspicious) so I am hoping to get some garden tasks done, along with some other things:
Strawberries for breakfast (from my troughs and hanging baskets) :)
I need to make a loaf in the BM, as we are nearly out of bread and I definitely can't be bothered to go to the shop to buy some!
Usual bathroom / kitchen / bedroom tidy up
Check bird feeders, as our visiting pair of doves are out there looking as though they want to complain to the manager :D
Pot up basil plants into their final pots (or in some cases, large tomato tins)
    Dig some more potatoes
    Pick mangetout
Bit more summer pruning of the fruit trees - the new shoots, which need to be cut back anyway, are infested with aphids :#  Except for the quince which never seems to get affected. Maybe the little horrors don't like the rather hairy leaves.
Some tidying up needed in the front garden. I like it fairly wild looking (and so do the bees) but don't want it getting out of hand.
Might make hummus for lunch, and I fancy making a veggie curry for dinner.

    Evening all!
Great day yesterday but back to the debt busting now!

I've been watching Jamie's money saving meals, giving me some inspiration for any fruit that's going to go off soon, just freeze them and make some smoothies from them. Usually I just throw them out. I also made some bread today and received a product test, I get £25 amazon voucher when completed.

  • Morning all,

Had a lovely day yesterday but bought groceries so I did spend some money.

Having a quiet day today. Have been for a stroll and am considering some housework later.

    Afternoon all :)
Currently waiting in for a FB marketplace buyer - hope they turn up!
Usual kitchen / bathroom clean up, made the bed, changed bathroom towels etc, usual daily stuff
Spent rest of the morning in the garden, tidied the front garden, then through to the back where I weeded a small bed by hand, emptied a container onto the large bed where some of the potatoes have been dug, and fed the strawberries, beans, peas and tomatoes, plus my tubs of flowers along the pathway to the back gate :)  Had to stop as it started to rain. Other than that, I have walked the dog (before rain, of course), done a load of washing which OH obligingly pegged on the line, now rained on :#
I have also got out my vintage sewing machine to gift to GD1 - I never use it, and she wants to have a go, so she may as well have it. I shall tell her to sell it if she decides it isn't for her. We will drop it off with DS (her Dad) later this afternoon, as he has invited us for dinner for Fathers' Day  :)
Had sandwiches with home grown lettuce for lunch
No plans for spending today :)

    Everyone sounds busy!

I went to a car show thing with the OH today, got back around 4pm and I’ve just put work lunches on in the pressure cooker, chicken veggies and rice! I’ve chopped up some bananas and strawberries and froze them for smoothies! I also picked more of the strawberries from the garden, I’ve got a few red ones. I plan on walking the dog later and then bathing him! I’ll also change bed sheets. I’m motivated for the week ahead!
