Hi,
I’ve just been refused credit from Volvo finance, who use Experian as their credit checking agency.

I’ve just had a look on Experian and the information they hold on me is incorrect.
The address they have on file is actually where i stayed 2 houses ago, due to this they don’t have any of my financial or credit affiliations / obligations listed.
Due to this, it has me listed as high risk for not having a mortgage (I do), and not being on the electoral register (I am).
I plan on calling Experian tomorrow to try and get this sorted, ive updated my addresses on the Experian site, but I’m not sure if that will be enough.
Has anyone faced this issue before, and if so, how long did it take to get sorted, so you could apply for credit again?
I’m very credit worthy and have never had any issues getting credit before, not missed any payments.

Thanks,
Stewart
Edit: my details on ClearScore (equifax) are correct and we’re updated automatically as far as I know. Why has Experian not been the same?

Experian obviously made a mistake. Get them to fix it. Even if they did it immediately it often takes 4-6 weeks to reflect on the free report you see, the live one should be done as soon as they fix it.
