TalkTalk, ugh!

Some 6 weeks ago I moved my phone to TT. They offered me a package of, Line rental, BB and unlimited calls for £20 or so. Well, I was daft and changed over to TT. I also have an NTL/Virgin phone and BB, which has never given me a problem
I have had nothing but trouble with my phone and BB with TT. Dodgy line quality and very poor Broadband. When (and if!) I get connected with TT broadband, it can take minutes for a page to load. Then it won't load and I have to keep turning off the power and on again. I have complained to TT about 8 or 9 times and they seem usless to help! Every time I get through to some very nice chap in India and all promise to help but nothing ever happens.
If I disconnect the TT BB and connect back to Virgin, my pages fly and I don't have not a problem. TT keep trying to tell me it must be my PC but when I tell them that I don't have a problem with Virgin BB, they don't want to know!
What I really want to know is this, can I move back to BT for my line rental? TT have insisted that I must pay them £75 to move but as hell I will!
Any ideas, please

Sorry to here about your problems, unfortunately I cannot say that I am surprised. I have had the same on-going problems for 18 months!
Finally, my contract has now ended and I am off! Contact Offcom, they have been a big help to me. Currently I am in an Internet Cafe due to loss of connection yet again! I will be back with BT at the end of this month (due to the 2 weeks it takes for them to get my phone line back) and I cannot wait! Good luck with getting your issues sorted.Eleventh Heaven No. 321

Hello Normal-B,
If you would like to PM me I would be more than happy to offer you any help. What you have been advised is correct, if you wish to leave within your 18month contract then you would be required to pay the £70 fee however please PM me and we will see what we can do with regards to improving your service.

TT & BT are on the same lines, Virgin runs on cable. TT works as well as BT for me at £25 per month less!0

I don't want to be a cynic here, but I would be incredibly wary of anyone claiming to be from customer services from any company. To get access to your account to actually be able to help you, they will need to ask you personal information and security questions, and if this person isn't who they say they are, they will have happily harvested a load of personal data from you!By replying to this post you are agreeing to my Terms and Conditions which state that I am correct0 -
Plus, if they are not providing the service you are paying for, then they are in breach of contract, and cannot charge you for breaking it by going to another provider. I would suggest you write a detailed letter to their complaints (or whatever fancy way they describe it) department, explaining that unless they can provide the service you are paying for, you expect them to bear the cost of transferring to someone who can. It is ridiculous to say that you would need to pay, when you re already paying for somehting you don't get! And I agree with the last poster - DON'T send any details to trhe mystery 'Talk Talk' person - for all we know they could be genuine, but the fact they haven't given a name makes me a little suspicious!0

Hello all,
I understand your concern however I am not asking for personal information. My role is to provide help to our customers who are not having any luck with our normal customer service departments.
However as it would make you feel better I am more than happy to reveal my identity as I am not here to raise further concern and it is our objective to be open and honest. I have updated my signature with my name.
