Afternoon everyone,
apologies if this may have been covered elsewhere
my daughter cancelled her trip as she is no longer able to go and received a refund and a voucher for £350 I believe for the deposit portion.

We also have a holiday booked through British Airways and suggested we give her the cash for the voucher and we could use that on our balance so she didn’t lose any money.
BA have said she cannot do this as the voucher must be used by the two people on the original booking.
Unfortunately she has now split from her partner and so that is very unlikely indeed.
is anyone able to advise if this is correct and any suggestions as to how we might resolve this?
many thanks in advance

What do the terms of the voucher say?
Usually they are non-transferable so cannot be given to someone else. If she has the voucher though she will likely be able to use it book flights for her only.I doubt BA mean both must travel simply that it has to be used by the person who it was issued to.0 -
Ask BA to split the voucher in 2. Use your portion for yourself and give the ex his, or if you paid the holiday and he is being an @rse, don’t.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
