The old switcheroony (M&S account closure)

Not really true - CASS is undoubtedly the predominant service, with the most functionality and required to qualify for switching incentives, but its precursor is still available (not universally, but still used by many of the majors) for those wishing to use a partial switching service that doesn't entail closure of the old account. A comparison between the full CASS and the partial Payment Transfer Service is published at https://www.bacs.co.uk/services/accountswitchingservice/pages/accountswitchingservice.aspxjimjames said:
There is only one switching service, CASS and all banks are signed up to it. Each bank will have their own branding on their website but it's the same service that's used.warner82 said:Massive thanks for prompt responses - I didn'y know this option existed.
I have provisionally gone with the Halifax link above but now I'm wondering if independent switching service would be preferable.
Many thanks
