You saw and approved the drawings that were on the planning application.

Whose idea was it to build something other than exactly what those drawings showed?

the worry here is, the new build and you have not built in any flex in your budget. You can't afford the 15k  which is a worry.

Why start a project when you don't properly budget and do things outside of regulation?
We did have 15% flexible .
    To cover unforseen circumstances
Which has been eaten up due to the build over for the drain.
As the whole lot had to be taken out and redone .
And 2 appeals for the unauthorized works .
And other work along the way that wasn't included .
    Ie gas meter moving .
Boiler moving and new boiler fitting
    Aquadrains all around
And other bits and bobs not Included quickly adds up .
I'm mainly looking for advice on what I should do in the situation ?
    Pay the architect ?
    Get a new one ?
I have 1 appeal left should I try again as I only have 9 months left to make the changes before a court order .
I'm a carer for my partner and my parents .
I have a new born and other children ontop .
Just after some advice . If anyone's been through anything similar

If you refuse to pay they will take you to court. Unless you have real evidence that they misled you, are in breach of contract or caused the planning situation you are likely to lose. Do you have legal cover on your house insurance? If so then perhaps its a good idea to get some advice?

If you are thinking about appealing then do talk to a Planning Consultant, they may save you a lot of money by negotiating a solution.

You must have noticed the door being put on?  You must also have known that this was not in the original planning permission.

I have been adviced to speak to a planing consultant today .

I had a guy out who has dealt with situations like this previously..

The short and end of it .
Do what needs doing don't worry about anything else at present minus pleasing the council .
    Which seems good advice .

    Yes I did .
The architect come out before we was at door level to measure up for the changes .
Then went away to get the approval .
    What I was aware this wouldn't be a issue . Clearly I shouldn't believe everything I hear .

Due to access aswell to the rear the opening was needed even if it was to be filled later .

I've contacted them today to arrange payment and just get everything dealt with .

As it's having a real strain on family life .
And this is around a year .
Year and a half so far .

    Thanks for the advice .
