Wait after sending IHT forms?

Some articles - such as this one from the Gazette https://www.thegazette.co.uk/all-notices/content/103873 - say to wait 20 working days between sending IHT400 (which I have to use to claim RNRB) to HMRC and sending the probate application. But gov.uk says you only need to wait if there's inheritance tax to pay. Thought I'd ask here if people recommend waiting regardless?
