Final stage of being brought out of a property

Hi there - I am hoping someone can help who has perhaps recently been brought out of a property. My partner is being brought out by his ex and we aren’t sure what is left to be sorted before it’s all finalised. The land registry documents have all be signed and sent off now - does this have to be completed before the transaction is complete? (I’ve been told about land registry updates actually happening months after a house sale so maybe it doesn’t need to be completed?). Are we missing any other steps? Her new mortgage is lined up, all solicitor paperwork signed with agreed amounts and new title deed changes....what’s next? Thank you

Registration confirms the change of ownership. It’s protected as soon as it’s submitted so normally it’s a case of simply waiting for the confirmation to come back.I’m guessing the new mortgage comes next but no rush? If there is and you need the title to be updated in order to meet a mortgage deadline then get your solicitor to request expedition of the now submitted application“Official Company Representative

Okay thank you. We haven’t been involved in the new mortgage so not sure if the land registery change is needed first or if the mortgage can go ahead in the mean time hmmm0

The land registry changes and new mortgage will happen at the same time. Both processes will be managed by the solicitor/conveyancer.1

I was bought out of my old house, I signed a form TR1 i think, returned that to my solicitor in the December and January I recieved my payment and a statement of completion. I had documents confirming my existing mortgage would cease so I assume his new mortgage took over from completion.1

Thanks that’s reassuring - it sounds like all the paperwork is now signed and submitted so it’s just a case of waiting for it to be processed. Hopefully it’s all sorted very soon ☺️0
