Best place for valuation/sale of football memorabilia

When going through papers after my mother-in-law died we found some football memorabilia from the 1930s and 40s. Programmes, leaflets, many of them autographed, and a couple of entire team autographs. I read through them, and they include the autographs of Bill Shankly and Stanley Matthews. I know nothing about football, and my husband doesn’t either, but a friend said they could be worth something. Does anyone know of auctioneers who specialise in this kind of thing? The autographs were collected by my father-in-law from when he was about 8 until his early 20s.

The market for this kind of memorabilia has plummeted in the last 10 years. Being from the 30's and 40's you may have some items of value there but the autographs would need to be authenticated for them to add any value. If you have anything from the 60's onwards, 99% of them would be worth pennies. Sorry!0
