Exactly, entirely depends on what it is being used for. I'd rather go for a 1440 with a high refresh rate (mine is 165hz) as I do PC gaming.I do PC gaming and would take 4K over >60hz any day. However I suspect we play differnet games!Just shows there is a lot to consider!

Hi everyone
Not sure what I want it would be for everyday use and streaming and maybe the odd game if my son uses it.
My current monitor is 10 years old and was basic and cheap when I bought it.
Definitely do not want to spend over £130 maybe and no more than £150 .
It will be on a computer desk also.
Just thought I would treat myself.
My old pc will be going to a local charity that gives PC's to children after I've done a clean install so would be nice for them to have a monitor also.
Thanks

Jenni_D said:4K on a 27/28" screen? Perhaps. But if price is a factor then quality of screen, and response time, would be my preferable features - if that meant a 1080p screen rather than 4K then so be it.
Remember that they mentioned Zoom. You can get more on to a 4k screen. It's not just about the finest resolution it offers.
The OP hasn't indicated anything out of the ordinary in terms of gaming and/or photography. So given that there is nothing specified with regard to anything other than a general purpose monitor; I would go for an inexpensive 4k device rather than going for a 1080p with a wider colour gamut, as an instance.
But of course my advice could change if there are interests that should be taken into account. It's not just a hard and fast rule. If the OP would prefer a more colourful screen over a higher resolution screen; then the colourful screen is the right choice for them.

If going screen real estate I would keep the existing screen and go dual screen with a new one.
Existing setup meets your zoom needs
Focus on other needs for the new one.
I have 19" set above a 24" does the job.
Can have stuff I am working with on the 24" the 19" has background video or reference material or just what's app FB notifications.

I ordered three of them for a triple monitor setup for my home office.
Came on Thursday and i've them set up. I have to say i'm very impressed with them - crisp, bright and good contrast. Exactly what i was looking for.
Other peoples needs may vary, but for £116.99 for a brand new 27 inch monitor i think thats pretty much unbeatable, especially if you then have a further £15 off voucher.2 -
WOW thanks for this £101.99 for the monitor
The refresh rate is Native Resolution
Full HD (1080p) 1920 x 1080 (VGA: 60 Hz, HDMI: 75 Hz)
So does this mean i can just connect the tower to the monitor via the HDMI lead to get the 75Hz refresh rate and do away with the vga cable?

I would "assume" so, but maybe someone more technical can confirm.
I'm well pleased with them. They took around 4 working days to come so not too bad.1
