Short answer, yes. Slightly longer answer is you probably do, if it's still your sole or main residence. There are exemptions but you'll need to provide a lot more detail and context before anyone can advise further.0

Why do you think you wouldn't have to pay CT? If the property is empty a few councils still offer an exemption period, but they are very much in the minority now.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

But in either case, unless exempt for the usual reasons, then yes of course you still have to pay it. And remember Council tax arrears is about the only debt you can end up in jail for, so pay promptly!0 -

Every house in the country would be on the market for utterly unfeasible prices with the vendors not bothering about viewings...1
