have got help from the people on here when was setting up my orange wireless. everythings been going well as we have been using it via wired connection as we dont have a second computer/laptop

however a friend came round yesterday and was trying to connect to our wireless connection and it was asking for a code - where do I find this code or what is the code - is it that long code on the livebox? seems to be very long if that is the one

thanks in advance!

there is usually a wep code on the bottom of the livebox, and doesn't it also have a pairing button?

yeah I have found the wep code - i think - a really long code - is that what the person on the wireless laptop would have to type in? they could find a wireless connection but were unable to connect to it as it was asking for a code

not sure what the pairing button you talk about is

the only real buttons on the livebox are a 1 and a 2 button above a hole that looks similar to a usb hole thing

Can't post the direct link, look at the orange sites listed here for details on pairing.:

    the basics are this
press button 1 on the livebox - light on top will start flashing
select livebox on computer and enter WEP code

tip: on the livebox WPA and WEP code are the same code - its a hex code on the bottom of the livebox

  • Yes click on livebox from the options. Be very careful when entering your code. I had a lot of hassle doing both my sons and my parents. Don't put spaces and put O's in as numbers not letters. Good luck and hope it works quicker for you.
