Partner passed away, no will and assets

I don't know your partner's age or her pension situation, but you (or the administrators) should let the pensions people know of her passing. She may have completed and Expression of Wishes form.

I am very sorry for your loss. As others have said, as you were not married, you have no automatic rights of inheritance at all, except that any joint accounts or other financial assets in your joint names will normally pass automatically to you, outside her estate.
It may be open to you to make an application under the inheritance act on the basis that she failed to make reasonable provision for you, assuming that you had been living as a couple for 2 years or more when she died,. It would also be possible for the beneficiaries o execute a deed of variation to transfer some of her assets to you, provided that they all agreed and that none of the beneficiaries are minors.All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0
