Is his a scam

A few things make me cautious about this text.
There was no salutation eg. Mr. X
I’m 70 plus so not on PIP (I do receive DLA)
Finally the ending of the text it simply says ‘Thank’. No full stop. I’m by no means a grammar freak but that appears bad grammar. At the very lest should it not be ‘Thanks.’
On the other hand a number of years back I helped a friend fill in a PIP form and she was successful. At that time she was in a state of crisis and may have given my mobile number as a contact point. The only other thing I can think of my friend is hoping to change address and I rang looking general information as to how this might affect her PIP. but they didn’t ask for an address just said it was just a change of address as far as they were concerned
I am aware that there are many scams out there and was wondering if this could be one.
Kevin
ps sorry for the large image don’t know how to make it smaller. K

If it is a scam I can't see what they hope to get out of it as you are not being asked to do anything, As it says DfC are you in Northern Ireland?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1

As per Calcotti and have you recently had an assessment? If not, could have been sent to a wrong number. It looks to be of the standard of auto texts the DWP send out. Can't see what the scam could possibly be.0

Yes I live in Northern Ireland, at 70 + in receipt of DLA which was awarded, for life, a long, long time ago. As they hadn’t sent me any forms and I hadn’t sent any ‘change of circumstances’, to them, that’s what made me think scam and like you I couldn’t see where the scam might be.calcotti said:If it is a scam I can't see what they hope to get out of it as you are not being asked to do anything, As it says DfC are you in Northern Ireland?0 -
