i put a post on here a while ago re british gas and having trouble with them for over two years resulting in a £650 debt

i then got on to british gas trust fund who are an independently run company that provide grants for people in trouble with utility bills i did this about 3 months ago

then on friday i received the best news that thay had awarded £650 to british gas meaning i am now debt free from them i have never contacted a utility company so fast to change supplier i have now got to wait 28days and then i will be completely free from british gas and am going over to southern electric on a pre pay just like i wanted from bg

also southern off a scheme energy care pluss where if you meet there criteria you get 20% off both your gas and electric but im sure i have seen this covered on here before

im am so greatful to british gas energy trust they have really made my christmas they also kindly gave me a free phone number for british gas wich i thought i would share

Nice one. It's good to see that the Social Action Plan is making these companies do more for their vulnerable customers.

Some others are also offering these schemes now so it might be worth keeping an eye if you think it could arise again.
