PC Wont Start What Do Any Of You Pros Diagnose?

Hey my PC was build by a guy whos now all the way over in Australia so I am needing some help it has been working ok and we have moved its location and it has since stopped working. It was in its new location working one day in a basic cheap extention cable what I have since been told is a No No. but since the first close down it that room it has failed to start up since
Somebody else has had a look at it and written these notes

Long and short beep normally signifies a RAM failure for Abit mobos. Make sure that the RAM is in place. It may have been damaged or dislodged in the move to it's new location0

it has been taken to bits and reconected again so everything is in place.0
