Insurance between Exchange and Completion

Hi,
Looking for advice on the appropriate insurance for the period between exchange and completion. When we have moved previously a) this has only been 24-48 hours and b) the mortgage broker sorted it so we didn't pay much attention.
This time round however, we are likely to exchange 4-5 weeks prior to completion. I know we need buildings cover during that time but can't work out if a standard policy provides the correct cover or if we should believe the websites claiming you need special insurance!
This feels like a relatively common query but I can't find an answer I trust!
Thanks!
