Question About New House Build

My sister moved into a new house about 3 months ago. It is a "new build" and was sold to her by an individual who owned the land and he got a building company in to construct 4 Mews houses (he has 6 other properties under construction on the same site).
At the rear of the property are some French windows and they are dark grey and uPVC. Now that we have had a few sunny days then a problem has made itself apparent with these as they clearly expand in the heat of the sun, which it gets from about midday onwards. They get so that it is impossible to close them and she has to wait until late in the evening when they have cooled down in order to lock up.
All 4 properties are reporting the same issue.
The guys who fitted them have been round to look and said they have adjusted them as much as they can be.
The head builder has been round and said there is nothing that can be done! To me, that doesn't seem right as these are not fit for purpose.
Can anybody give any advice on where she stands on getting something done about them. I think the only option is to take them out and replace with something that doesn't expand like this - clearly that is going to cost and is something the builder and vendor will be trying to avoid. Does the building "guarantee" cover things like this?

Send a PM to the relevant board guide.and ask them to move the thread as you believe it would get a better response on the House Buying Renting and Selling board

What are the terms of the guarantee?
Did they get a warranty from NHBC? (I'm not sure if all smaller builders are registered with NHBC).
If they have NHBC cover and aren't happy with the response from the builder then NHBC can help
Problems with your home | NHBC
But there are other warranty providers https://hoa.org.uk/advice/guides-for-homeowners/i-am-buying/new-home-warranties-cover/
